Therapy & Assessments with Samantha

I offer both neuropsychological assessments and therapy to children, adolescents and adults.

I have extensive experience in comprehensive neuropsychological assessments across the lifespan. These are founded on a strengths-based approach – i.e., understanding an individual’s areas of strength, and utilising these to overcome or compensate for any difficulties. I am passionate about helping my clients and their families better understand how the brain works and devising practical changes to improve day-to-day life.

My therapy is guided by my genuine respect for my client’s willingness to lean into the vulnerability that therapy can require. I believe that the therapist-client relationship is a crucial component of therapy, with trust and genuine connection a vital underpinning. As such, I tailor my sessions to work at my client’s pace spending time to truly understand their situation and work collaboratively to achieve personal growth and live their best life. I draw on multiple therapy models including CBT, mindfulness integrated CBT, Schema Therapy, and Attachment Theory. My holistic approach also encompasses lifestyle aspects such as self-care, social connections, sleep hygiene, stress relief, diet and exercise.

In all my work, I strongly believe in a multi-disciplinary approach to health care, and will collaborate with your other health providers such as medical practitioners, allied health professionals, teachers and other care providers to achieve the best outcomes possible.
