Therapy with Rani

I see my role as a psychologist to be a guide, dedicated to supporting and empowering people on their journey to navigate life’s challenges with resilience and compassion. I work from a holistic, trauma informed perspective and believe that achieving balance and well-being involves working with the mind, body, environment, relationships, and purpose. By addressing all of these aspects, individuals can embark on a journey towards lasting positive change.

I have experience in a range of therapeutic approaches including CBT, ACT, DBT, EMDR, IFS informed, and Solution Focused therapy. I will tailor treatment plans to each individual’s specific needs, personality and preferences. I work with a wide range of presenting challenges and have a special interest in working alongside people who have experienced complex trauma and members of vulnerable or marginalised communities (including CALD and LGBTQIA+).

Rani’s Qualifications & Experience

Rani is a registered psychologist with over 16 years of experience across Western Sydney and the Central Coast. She has experience working with diverse presenting needs, particularly with individuals who have experienced trauma and are in crisis. Rani has training in a range of therapeutic modalities, including CBT, ACT, DBT, and IFS informed therapy.

Rani has experience working with both adult and adolescent clients and their families. In her early career, Rani worked in adult vocational rehabilitation, supporting individuals facing extreme financial hardship, those presenting with complex mental health concerns as well as people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds who had lived experiences of immigration and detention centers. Rani has also worked for many years in adolescent mental health as both a psychologist and clinical manager. She was responsible for designing, implementing, and managing a comprehensive mental health service for youth dealing with complex psychosocial challenges. During this period, Rani developed a passion for leadership and mentoring, focusing on nurturing young leaders, fostering a healthy team culture, improving communication, managing risks, and effectively navigating change.
