Therapy with Melissa
I am a registered psychologist with extensive experience working with young people for both assessment and intervention of a variety of presentations including, but not limited to, learning difficulties, behavioural and developmental concerns, anxiety and depressive symptoms.
I am passionate about creating a safe and affirming therapeutic environment that is person-centered and collaborative. I work within the therapeutic frameworks of ACT, DBT and CBT to support clients to reach their therapeutic goals.
Melissa’s Qualifications & Experience
Melissa is a registered psychologist with 5 years’ experience working with children, adolescents and their families in an educational setting. Melissa has extensive experience completing developmental and educational assessments for a range of presentations including, but not limited to, specific learning disabilities. She has completed training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
Registered practitioners at The READ Clinic are independent practitioners who engage The READ Clinic to provide administrative support. All decisions regarding client treatment and care are the responsibility of the individual practitioners.
