Kerri is passionate about empowering her clients to work through their present struggles and recover from their past with the focus being on enhancing their sense of wellbeing and quality of life.
Kerri has a holistic, collaborative and goal oriented approach when working with clients, focusing on all aspects of the person, the psychology (thinking, emotions, coping skills), Biological (diet, nutrient, gut-brain relationship, sleep, exercise) and social functioning (Lifestyle & environment).
Kerri’s Qualifications & Experience
Kerri is a Registered Psychologist with over 20 years experience. She completed a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology ) degree at Macquarie University and then went on to do a Master of Arts (Forensic Psychology ) degree at the university of Western Sydney. Kerri has a background in adult mental health and then moved to Tresillian Family Care Centre where she gained 10 yrs experience working with mothers and fathers in the postnatal period. Kerri first started working at the READ Clinic in 2013 and predominately works with adults. She is passionate about helping mothers during the perinatal period and working with clients who have been affected by adverse life events. Kerri has a special interest in working with clients that have been impacted by trauma and is an accredited EMDR practitioner.
Kerri specialises in a number of therapeutic approaches including Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Personalised Integrative Therapy (PI therapy) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Kerri is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing Association of Australia (EMDRAA). Kerri is Medicare, Workcover, Private health fund and Employee Assistance program accredited.
