Therapy with Bek
My priority is fostering a nurturing and empathetic environment where clients feel comfortable sharing their experiences and challenges. I use a collaborative approach to working alongside my clients to navigate their difficulties, identify strengths, build resilience, and develop practical strategies for positive change. I use evidence-based practices and ensure my work is grounded in sound research to promote positive client outcomes.
While I work across the lifespan, I have a particular interest in the way a person’s formative years impact their later development and experiences beyond childhood. As such, I am passionate about working with children and adolescents during these impressionable years. In my approach to working with young people, I prefer to have family involved in therapy where appropriate. Research indicates that therapy for children and adolescents is typically more effective when there is family involvement and a rallying support system continuing outside of the therapy room. I also communicate with educators and teachers where appropriate to promote the best outcomes for school aged clients.
In all my work, I see it is an incredible a privilege to walk alongside individuals as they share their journey with me.
