Our Services

The R.E.A.D. Clinic was established over 30 years ago by child psychologist, Dr John Irvine, and his brother, Clinical Neuropsychologist, Warwick Irvine. Here at the Clinic, we pride ourselves on providing the most up-to-date interventions with a firm grounding in best-practice and evidence-based research. We offer our clients a wide range of services for children and young people, adults, families, couples, Workcover-related, and employee assistance programs. Not only this, but we also offer a great range of training and development services for psychologists and clinical psychologists.

Insurance/Work Cover

In the event that you have sustained an injury at work, your treating doctor may refer you for psychological assistance. The injury you stained can be psychological, physical, or a combination of both. The R.E.A.D. Clinic offers counselling for work cover-related issues for those clients who have a work cover certificate signed by your treating doctor and a referral letter outlining the issues.

Employee Assistance Programs

The R.E.A.D. Clinic offers employee assistance, group training and education, and occupational appraisal services to both private and public organisations. After all, an organisation’s most valuable resources are its people.

Group Programs

The R.E.A.D. Clinic currently provides a range of group programs for our child and adolescent clients, as well as several group programs for pain management. We are busy developing a range of group programs for our adult clients, including the Circle of Security Parenting Skills program and an anger management program.

Therapy and Counselling

Here at the R.E.A.D. Clinic, we aim to offer therapy and counselling for all ages and stages. Whether you are an adult, child, or adolescent, we offer individual, family and couples counselling options for your support.

Assessments

The R.E.A.D. Clinic offers a range of assessment services for both children and adults. The range of assessments available for children and young people include ADHD assessments, Autism and Aspergers assessments, Learning Disorder assessments (i.e., reading, maths, spelling), and more. General assessments for adults include adult ADHD assessments, adult learning assessments, and general psychological wellbeing assessments, as well as specialised neuropsychological assessments including assessments of functioning after head injury or stroke, differential diagnosis for dementia, and more.

Training and Development

The R.E.A.D. Clinic offers innovative, APS endorsed workshops and seminars, as well as clinical placements, and supervision options with psychologists from a range of PBA endorsements.
